USAHA is a Proud Supporting Organization of the Upcoming US Trade and Development Agency Nigeria & Kenya Healthcare Technologies Reverse Trade Mission
The U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) is hosting a delegation of senior healthcare officials and practitioners from leading hospitals in Kenya and Nigeria as part of the Nigeria and Kenya Healthcare Technologies Reverse Trade Mission (RTM). Meetings and site visits will take place in Washington, DC; Minneapolis, MN; Chicago, IL; and San Francisco, CA between September 14 – 25, 2015.
The RTM will connect U.S. healthcare equipment suppliers and service providers to key decision makers in Kenya and Nigeria, which are among the most promising African healthcare markets. Strong export opportunities include advanced medical and surgical equipment, radiology and technologies for non-communicable diseases.
As part of the RTM, USA Healthcare Alliance, the export promotion arm of AHC, will be hosting an industry roundtable to discuss Health System Transformation, in partnership with GE. This RTM will familiarize the Nigerian and Kenyan delegates with leading U.S. healthcare technologies and best practices in procurement. The RTM will also provide opportunities for U.S. companies to gain insight and market intelligence and foster relationships necessary to support improved healthcare systems in these emerging markets.
A full-day Business Briefing will be held on Friday, September 18 in Minneapolis. The briefing is an opportunity to learn about current Nigerian and Kenyan healthcare capabilities and anticipated needs, and will including a financing roundtable and matchmaking opportunities to meet one-on-one with the delegates.
