EVENT: Alliance for Global Health and Competitiveness Ambassadors’ Forum
The Alliance for Global Health and Competitiveness (AHC) is pleased to sponsor a forum with Ambassador Robinson Githae, Kenya’s Ambassador to the United States, and Ambassador Luis Miguel Castilla Rubio, Peru’s Ambassador to the United States (to be confirmed). The event will take place at Carnegie Endowment for International Peace on March 29, 2016.
Before their appointments to the United States embassies, both ambassadors served as their countries’ ministers of finance. In that role, each viewed healthcare through a lens of economic return and growth. Ambassadors Githae and Castilla Rubio will share their insights on how they evaluated potential healthcare investments, how they viewed the linkages between healthcare and economic growth, and how we can more strongly link health and growth. Dr. Trevor Gunn, Vice President for International Relations at Medtronic, will give opening remarks.
The Alliance for Global Health and Competitiveness (AHC) believes in stimulating the flow of world-class health solutions across borders and boundaries, improving lives, creating jobs, and meeting the healthcare needs of a growing global population.
